Get to know Dr. Vinod Ravikumar

Dr. Vinod Ravikumar is a Neurologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology at New York Medical College where he is an active member of the Faculty Senate, the Continuing Medical Education (CME) committee, and a co-director of the general neurology fellowship.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College before completing his internship at Yale New Haven Health’s Greenwich Hospital. He then completed his neurology residency at the University of Southern California where he was selected as Chief Resident - a distinction reflecting both his clinical excellence and leadership among his peers.

He has published papers in prestigious journals such as Movement Disorders, Nature, AHA circulation research, and PNAS among others. He is a recipient of several awards including the Marks Mentorship Award and the Victor M. Victoroff Compassionate Care Award.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ravikumar enjoys staying active on the tennis court, running, and reading. He is passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of medical students and future physicians.
